Brayfield Park Lavender offers a quality range of lavender products straight from the farm to the consumer.
From beauty products, mists, sleep sprays, essential oils, lavender wheat bags, bath salts, culinary lavender and so much more, the shop is a must for visitors and tourists looking for something uniquely South Australian.
Our friendly staff at the Hahndorf Shop can provide information and advice for consumers who want to learn more or experiment with lavender themselves. We also have some fantastic ideas for cooking with lavender.
The farm is located approximately half an hour drive away at Murray Bridge where the soil, water and climate are ideal for growing productive lavender on a commercial scale. As a long established farm operating for over 20 years, we have perfected growing techniques to suit the SA climate for a range of lavenders including Angustifolia, or English lavender as it is commonly known in Australia. Lavender Angustifolia Essential Oil is highly sought after across the world for its skin healing and therapeutic qualities.
For those who do venture to the farm during the peak season of November and December it is such a wonderful sight when the sea of purple blows gently in the breeze with magnificent views of the River Murray in the background.
Although the farm sees many visitors each year the Hahndorf Shop being closer to Adelaide provides a great alternative for consumers, with many practical products and gifts alike. Wholesale enquiries are welcome.
Download a PDF heritage map of sites that will give you a glimpse of Hahndorf’s history and development. As you stroll under the avenue of trees planted in1885 by the Hahndorf community, imagine the traffic of that time; cows being driven to pasture by young lads, people on foot or astride horses, carriages and distinctive German wagons bumping along the rutted dirt road.
