Set amongst a stunning mix of eucalyptus and landscaped gardens, the “Sidewood Restaurant & Cellar Door’ is only a 25 minute drive from the CBD.
The luxury landmark’s vast jet black cladded exterior and 45 degree pitch gable roof line stands in contrast to warm, natural materials of the interior, including giant Victorian ash trusses, local stone flooring, and warm caramel leather banquettes. The venue also features an eclectic collection of Australian art, including works by Olsen, Blackman, Boissevain and Grey-Smith.
Sidewood’s award-winning wines can be sampled in our tasting room or expertly paired with the Australasian menu offered in our restaurant by Chef Ali Seedsman. The interior flows outside onto an enormous hardwood deck which offers many different types of casual dining experiences. From lounges in front of an open two-way stone fireplace to bar stools along a fifteen metre bar overlooking our petanque and lawn bowls courts, the kids nature playground and of course our 6 VIP day beds (available for hire).
