In a proud moment for our community of small and family-run businesses, Hahndorf local Jordana Ashcroft O’Sullivan has been awarded the Emerging Leader in Family Business Award at the 2025 Family Business Excellence Awards, held on Thursday 22 May in Western Sydney.
Jordana is the General Manager of Fore Design, and the driving force behind Flex Planning, second generation family business’ that have grown to become a trusted name in both commercial and residential design and town planning across South Australia. With deep roots in the region and a forward thinking approach, Jordana has helped shape the next chapter of the business her family began, bringing innovation, clarity and strategic growth to the forefront.
Under her leadership, Fore Design has embraced cutting edge technology, streamlined its operations and expanded its market presence. Recognising the increasing demand for specialised planning services, Jordana led the launch of Flex Planning as a dedicated town planning practice that now operates independently alongside Fore Design.
“We’ve recently become Fore Design, and launched Flex Planning as a standalone planning practice,” Jordana explained. “This growth is made possible with our strong framework that allows us to be competitive in our industry and remain ready for the next stage of growth.”
Jordana’s influence extends far beyond her own business. She was recently appointed to the board of Regional Development Australia Adelaide Hills Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island (RDA AHFKI), where her extensive experience in managing complex developments – particularly those in environmentally and culturally sensitive regional areas – brings valuable insight to the organisation’s strategic initiatives. Her focus is on development that respects place, heritage and local character.
“I’m excited to be part of RDA AHFKI, supporting our businesses and communities in taking what they already do well and making it great,” she said. “I look forward to finding ways to expand opportunities and build the infrastructure needed to attract and retain residents, workers and tourists, while encouraging the next generation to stay and thrive in our regions.”

Jordana is also a well respected figure in the local Hahndorf business community. She is the immediate past Chairperson of the Hahndorf Business and Tourism Association, and an active member of the South Australian Business Chamber’s Thirtyniners, a network of emerging leaders shaping the future of business in our state.
As a town built on family businesses and driven by community spirit, Hahndorf celebrates Jordana’s well deserved recognition on the national stage. Her journey from local roots to regional impact is a testament to the strength, resilience and innovation found right here in our own backyard.
