WELLNESS WANDER THE ADELAIDE HILLS AND HAHNDORF

After the huge success of Australia’s first Wellness wander event in the Adelaide Hills last year, we are back in 2023!

Held from Friday March 31 to Sunday April 2, this event offers the opportunity to explore the best of wellness that this spectacular region has to offer. Local producers, soulful practitioners, and passionate restauranteurs will showcase a carefully curated selection of events and experiences that have been designed to enhance mental, physical and emotional wellbeing.

Meander through local markets to discover farm fresh produce and artisanal products, connect with nature and the local wildlife with walks, rides and forest bathing, and allow soulful practitioners to soothe stress with indulgent, creative and mindful activities.

Choose from the diverse range of offerings to personalise your own wellness trail through the incredible Adelaide Hills across the three days.

Here are some of the events in and around our village.

Reiki and Ayurvedic Hand Massage

Restore balance and enhance wellness with our signature hand massage treatment.

Wanderlust Soul is a Wellness and Holistic Boutique located in Hahndorf.

Nestled within our retail store in Hahndorf is our Massage and Healing Room, a space for relaxation, rejuvenation and self-healing.

The ultimate relaxation and therapeutic experience, our Reiki and Ayurvedic hand massage treatment is like no other. This blissful one-hour treatment will leave you feeling physically, mentally and spiritually balanced after our qualified therapist integrates the energy healing technique of Reiki with the physical healing technique of a Ayurvedic hand massage.

Reiki is the art of healing with natural energy. It is a gentle but powerful healing technique that enables emotional clarity and spiritual growth. It is administered by light touch, or no touch, transferring universal energy from the palms to the client’s clothed body.

An Ayurvedic hand massage is a non-invasive massage technique where pressure is applied to the Marma points on the hand and forearm using a Kansa wand and Dosha oil. It is based on the principle that there are areas and points on the hand that communicate, via the nervous system, to the corresponding parts of the body.

At the end of your treatment, you will receive a botanically infused gem elixir to help with hydration. You will also be gifted a ‘Sacred Space’ Crystal Bundle to complement your experience and assist with your self-healing journey. This includes rose quartz for love, amethyst for calming, selentine for connection, black tourmaline for protection, and white sage for cleansing.

Mala Necklace Making Workshop.

Create your own Chakra Mala necklace with Sarah from Red Mandala.

Mala is the Sanskrit word for garland. These meaningful pieces of jewellery have been used for centuries as meditation aids and to help people set intentions.

Recognised as the energy centres of our bodies, it is believed that when our Chakras are balanced our mind, body and spirit functions in perfect harmony. In this Chakra Mala making workshop, join Sarah from Red Mandala as you create our own 108 natural gemstone necklace from an assortment of natural gemstone beads and precious metal plated accents.

As a Reiki Master and certified Crystal Healer, Sarah will introduce you to a handful of commonly recognised gemstones – and a handful of unique beauties – that are associated with each Chakra.

Through this workshop, you will select from this variety of natural stones to create your own intuitively designed masterpiece.

Each participant will receive their very own calico pouch to keep your creation safe, as well as a handy chakra reference card and crystal guide to help recall the learnings from the day. In keeping with the traditional Mala necklace, your 108 natural gemstone necklace will be crafted in a modern unknotted fashion, making this workshop accessible to those of all skill levels.

This class will run for 2 – 2.5 hours and children are welcome to participate – if they have strong fine motor skills to thread a bead, they can easily create their own beautiful keepsake.
